News from iBwave

At the Spanish fair in Barcelona, iBwave -a company specialized in designing and realizing wireless networks- presented three important news: iBwave Wi-Fi Mobile, iBwave Unity Team and iBwave Product Suite v7. Wi-Fi Mobile is a mobile app conceived to realize and efficiently manage wireless networks in a simplified manner that allows, amongst its features, to plan the architecture and monitor its state. Unity Team is a Project Management platform conceived for a wireless network context, lastly Product Suite is the complete management suite solution proposed by the Canadian producer.

F5 introduces security solutions for 4G and 5G mobile networks

The american company introduced at WMC its new high performance products for next generation network infrastructure security. The goal is to allow Service Providers to scale network architectures in a quick and efficient way while guaranteeing the best security available. F5 platforms are also ready for next 5G and applications related to IoT, in addition to be capable of integrating with OpenStack for the realization of single and multi-tenant Cloud environments.
Here at Mobile World Congress, the new 100 GbE VIPRION blade will also be introduced.

Red Hat announces a collaboration with Amdocs to enable Open Innovation for Communication Service Providers.

Amdocs, leading company in service provision for customer experience, will integrate with the OpenStack platform by Red Hat Enterprise Linux with its own Network Cloud Server Orchestrator to allow CSP to migrate towards Cloud-based working environments.

This integration will offer companies using Amdocs systems a better and quicker development of services and infrastructures thanks to the power of the OpenStack platform.

Intel speeds up 5G development

Intel announced the starting of several new collaborations with the main companies of the telecommunications sector in order to to lay the foundations for the realization of new generation 5G wireless networks. Amongst the most important name we can find Ericsson, LG Electronics, Nokia, SK Telecom, KT and Verizon.
Such collaborations include in the upcoming years some pilot projects with 5G technology, like the ones with LG in the automotive field and with KT in the telecommunications field. Intel also proposes specific SoC (System on Chip) solutions for wireless transmissions and for the Internet of Things like the Atom x3-M7272 for automotive, or the XMM-7315 modem to cover endpoint that require low power consumption and wide coverage.

Panasonic introduces a line-up of connected products

The Japanese producer introduced at MWC two new products for its rugged line (Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 tablets conceived for the use in a hostile environment), the first camera with 3G/4G camera (called Nubo) and the Light ID technology to communicate information leveraging high frequency pulses of LED lights. Panasonic also brought in Barcelona several solutions related to the automotive sphere (like the V2X module for car-to-car communications) and OneConnect: the platform that allows auto manufacturers to directly communicate with car drivers.
